The CTS is Cadillac’s entry-luxury sport sedan, designed to compete with the best European sport
sedans. The CTS made its first appearance at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in August
2001. Cadillac did extensive testing at Germany's famed Nürburgring race track. The CTS-V was
added for 2004 with a 400-horsepower 5.7-liter V8 engine. For 2008 the CTS gets redesigned for the
first time and it features updates to the interior and exterior with a number of technological features.
All-wheel drive is available for the first time and a new 6-speed automatic transmission is added.
New for 2008
The 2008 Cadillac CTS receives its first major update that features a redesigned exterior, a finer
interior and available all-wheel drive for the first time. Powering the CTS will be the current 258-
horsepower 3.6-liter engine or GM’s new 300-horsepower 3.6-liter direct-injection V6 VVT engine that
produces 270 lb-ft of torque. A new 6-speed automatic transmission joins the 6-speed manual.
Sitting on a wider stance, the exterior is characterized by a larger chrome-trimmed grille, vertical-
shaped headlights and vertical taillights, signature LED lighting and a smoother look. Inside, the
interior is more luxurious and adds more technological features including a DVD-based navigation
with telescoping touch-screen, Bose 5.1 Cabin Surround audio system and an Easy Key system with
Smart Remote Start. For maximum comfort, heated and ventilated seats is fitted with new “thin-seat”
technology and rear-seat leg, knee and foot room has been enhanced.

The Cadillac DTS is the new front-wheel-drive large luxury sedan from Cadillac that replaced the
DeVille in the Cadillac lineup for 2006. The DTS continues Cadillac’s product renaissance that began
with the CTS and STS, integrating Cadillac’s new design language while still carrying forward
traditional Cadillac design elements. The DTS features an all-new luxurious interior and the chassis
is tuned for a smooth, quiet ride. DTS also offers a number of safety and convenience technologies.
New for 2008
The 2008 Cadillac DTS adds the Platinum edition which offers a higher level of luxury appointments
including 18-inch chromed wheels, chrome grille, and chrome door handle inserts. Powered by the
292-horsepower Northstar 4.6-liter V8, the DTS Platinum includes Magnetic Ride Control,
Performance shifting, standard DVD navigation system, and LED ambient interior lighting. The interior
is finished in either Light Linen over Cocoa or Ebony with Tuscany full leather upholstery, dash pad,
console and door trim, accented by light ash burl wood trim. DTS options include Lane Departure
Warning and Side Blind Zone Alert systems and new colors are Crystal Red, Black Cherry, Double
Espresso, Blue Diamond and Carbon Flash Metallic.

The all-new 2005 STS marks Cadillac’s return to the luxury performance segment, replacing the
Seville in the Cadillac lineup. The STS is based on the Sigma architecture, which is also the platform
for the CTS and CTS-V sedans, and the SRX crossover SUV. The STS styling bears a strong
resemblance to the CTS but has a softer, smoother edge to the sharp lines and its own distinct look.
The STS name was previously used for the high-performance trim of the Seville. For 2008 the STS
receives an exterior and interior update and a more powerful engine.
New for 2008
The 2008 Cadillac STS is revised for a bolder look, inside and out highlighted by a new grille design
that was first seen on the Sixteen concept before it was added to the Escalade and the new 2008
Cadillac CTS. Other exterior updates include vertical headlights, new lower front fascia and a new
performance handling package that includes 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels. Powering the STS will
be a new 302-horsepower engine that delivers 272 lb-ft of torque—an upgrade of 47 horsepower and
20 lb-ft of torque. The new engine features direct injection technology that improves fuel economy and
reduces emissions. New technological features in the 2008 STS include active steering technology in
the StabiliTrak electronic stability control system, debut of the Lane Department Warning System and
Size Blind Zone Alert System.

The XLR is Cadillac’s high-performance luxury two-seat roadster. In 1999 Cadillac debuted an all-
new luxury roadster concept at the North American International Auto Show called the Evoq and two
years later GM announced that the Cadillac XLR would be produced. The XLR is built on an all-new
platform designed specifically for convertibles. Featuring the first use of GM's high-output 4.6-liter
Northstar V8 in a rear-wheel-drive configuration, the XLR is produced in Bowling Green, KY, home of
Chevrolet's Corvette.
New for 2008
The 2008 Cadillac XLR adds 2008 Alpine White Limited Edition XLR with a chrome grille and 18-inch
chrome wheels that will only be produced from December 2007 through February 2008. The XLR
Platinum edition continues for 2008 with a handcrafted leather interior. New additions for 2008

damping.

wheel drive and all-wheel drive, with new V6 or V8 engines. For 2007 the SRX received significant
updates to the interior including an all-new cockpit design, an updated interior and a new Sport option
package.
New for 2008
The 2008 Cadillac SRX adds standard Adaptive Remote Start system which can start the engine,
adjust interior temperature to personal preferences, activate the defrosters and activate the available
heated or cooled seats from up to 200 feet away.

The Escalade is Cadillac’s premium full-size SUV that was redesigned for 2007 and combines the
attributes of an SUV with the amenities and refinement expected from a Cadillac luxury sedan.
Completely redesigned for 2007, the Escalade moves more toward a luxury car in terms of ride and
handling, with its signature bold styling and even more interior refinement. The first Escalade debuted
as a 1999 model, built on the GMC Yukon chassis, combining the ruggedness of a GMC truck with
luxury car amenities. The Escalade was redesigned for 2002 and the extended-wheelbase ESV was
added for 2003.
New for 2008
The 2008 Cadillac Escalade ESV is available in a two-wheel-drive version. The Escalade Platinum
edition will be offered later in the 2008 model year and in calendar year 2008 the Escalade Hybrid will
debut with GM’s two-mode hybrid system.

The Cadillac Escalade EXT is Cadillac’s luxury sport-utility truck that was redesigned for 2007 and is
built on General Motor’s all-new full-size SUV platform, combining a luxury SUV with a pickup truck.
The Escalade EXT is as long as the extended-length ESV model. The Escalade EXT first joined the
Escalade lineup when the Escalade was redesigned, in the fall of 2001 as a 2002 model.
New for 2008
The 2008 Cadillac Escalade EXT continues unchanged after receiving a redesign for 2007.
