IS sedan
Lexus’ entry sport sedan that debuted an all-new second-generation design for 2006. Lexus has
adopted a two-sedan strategy with the new IS moving more towards sporty while the ES 350 is the
entry luxury choice. The new IS has a more aggressive stance than the original and is the second
example of styling that Lexus refers to as L-Finesse. Two engine choices are offered with either rear-
wheel drive or all-wheel drive.

ES 350
Lexus’ midsize luxury sedan that replaced the third-generation ES 330 for the 2007 model year.
Offering more comfort, safety and performance features, the ES 350 is part of a two-pronged strategy
from Lexus as the entry-luxury choice and the IS offered as a more performance-oriented sport sedan.
The fourth sedan to incorporate what Lexus calls the L-finesse design language, the ES has a strong
family resemblance to the GS, IS and all-new LS flagship sedan.

SC 430
Lexus’ retractable hardtop premium luxury convertible. The original Lexus luxury coupe debuted in
1991 and the second-generation SC 430 was introduced for the 2002 model year. The SC 430 was
designed by Lexus’ European design center and the interior was designed in Japan.

LS 600h L hybrid luxury sedan
A cousin of the gasoline-only LS 460. As the world’s first vehicle to feature a full hybrid V8 powertrain, it
is capable of operating in electric-only mode or with a combination of gas & electric motor. The full-
time 4WD system is complemented by a new suspension for responsive handling. Uses the L-
finesse styling philosophy, styled to reveal a family resemblance to other Lexus sedans w/ emphasis

GS 460 and GS 350
Performance-oriented sedans that also offer typical Lexus luxury. Lexus says the look of the new GS
reveals a more passionate direction in styling that will be carried forward to future models. The GS 300
debuted in 1993 and the V8-powered GS 400 was added when the GS was redesigned for 1998. GS
430 became GS 460 with the addition of the 4.6-liter V8.

RX 400h
Gas-electric hybrid joins the RX 350 as the top trim level of Lexus midsize luxury SUVs. RX 330
became the RX 350 for 2007 with the addition of the 3.5-liter V6 engine. In January 2003, the
second-generation RX was unveiled at the NAIAS, renamed the RX 330 to reflect its
larger-displacement engine. RX 330 production began in Japan & in Sept 2003, Lexus began
production of the RX 330 at an assembly plant in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada, the 1st Lexus model to
be built outside of Japan.

LS 460
Lexus’ flagship luxury sedan, 1st introduced as the LS 400 when the Lexus line was launched in 1990.
With new safety technology, improved performance, one of the first gas-powered V8 engines to receive
ULEV certification. The 4th-generation LS is built on a sophisticated platform that maintains a delicate
balance between ride comfort & responsive handling. A 1st-ever long-wheelbase model called the LS
460 L is available featuring 4.8 inches of additional space and a host of standard features.

GX 470
Lexus’ third luxury SUV that joined the lineup for 2003. The GX 470 fits between the car-based RX 330
& the premium-luxury LX 470 in terms of size, price, and capability. The GX 470 is a full-capability SUV
& offers available seating for up to 8-passengers. Minor updates include new finish on grille, exterior
chrome-plated door handles, color-keyed rear spoiler, blue highlights, engine cover, headlamp lens
cover & rear combination lamp cover.

GS 450h
The world’s first luxury performance hybrid sedan. Based on the GS luxury sport sedans, the new
hybrid is designed to be the premium model of the GS series with many optional features from the GS
350 and GS 460 to be standard in the GS 450h. Equipped with a completely new Lexus hybrid
powertrain, the GS 450h has 80 percent fewer smog-forming emissions than the average new car.
Lexus claims the 3.5-liter V6 hybrid with a zero to 60 mph time in approximately 5.2 seconds.

RX 350
Lexus’ third-generation midsize car-based luxury SUV, available in either front-wheel drive or all-wheel
drive. Lexus introduced the RX 300 at the 1998 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in
Detroit and the RX 300 became the best-selling Lexus model. In January 2003, the second-generation
RX was unveiled at the NAIAS, renamed the RX 330 to reflect its larger-displacement engine. RX 330
production began in Japan and in September 2003 Lexus began production of the RX 330.

LX 570
Lexus' premium-luxury SUV. The LX 450 was added as a 1996 model, based on the Toyota Land
Cruiser. For 1998 the LX 470 name was adopted to reflect the new, more powerful V8 engine that was
part of the vehicle redesign. The LX 470 still features full-time 4WD with a two-speed transfer case. The
LX 570 is well equipped with standard equipment.

IS-F
Having been introduced just in the 2008 model year. Inside the IS F gets a revised instrument-panel
center cluster and new black/terra cotta two-tone interior trim for the new model year. Additional interior
trim upgrades include a new piano black finish for the center cluster and illuminated outside mirror
controls.
