The 9-3 is Saab’s midsize sport sedan and convertible. The original Saab convertible was inspired by
the U.S. market and debuted in 1986 as the Saab 900. The 900 was succeeded by the 9-3 in 1998 as
a 1999 model, with similar styling to the 900 but with more than 1,000 technical improvements. The
new 9-3 sport sedan debuted for 2003 as a 4-door sedan, departing from Saab’s history of hatchback
designs and the 9-3 Convertible was added for 2004.

The 2008 Saab 9-3 receives exterior design updates drawing from the design of the Aero X Concept.
The latest-generation Haldex “XWD” cross-wheel-drive system will be available late in the 2008
model year and the 2.8-liter turbocharged V6 engine increases to 255 horsepower.

The 9-7X is a midsize SUV that Saab describes as bringing characteristics to the SUV segment,
including sophisticated exterior and interior styling, premium design features, sporty performance
and the ignition cylinder in the center console. The 9-7X is based on the same architecture as other
General Motors SUVs including the Chevrolet TrailBlazer and the GMC Envoy but adds signature
Saab elements such as Saab’s signature three-port grille, rear quarter windows that visually appear
to wrap around the D-pillars and brand-distinctive wheels.

New for 2008

The 2008 Saab 9-7X adds Cocoa Metallic as an exterior finish, optional 20-inch wheels and optional
Altitude Edition 18-inch wheels on all models. In addition, Saab has added an Aero edition to the 9-7X
lineup, featuring unique styling and a 390-horsepower V8 engine.
