C30
Volvo’s new 2-door hatchback and is Volvo’s smallest car for the U.S. market at 8.5 inches shorter
than the S40 sedan. The C30 seats four, with individual, bucket-style, back seats that are moved a bit
toward the center to provide forward visibility around the front seats.

S40
Volvo’s premium small sedan. The all-new second generation S40 arrived in spring of 2004 as a mid-
year model change with Volvo’s Intelligent Vehicle Architecture that integrates crashworthiness,
design, and driving characteristics. The S40 was first sold in the U.S. for 2000 after being sold in
Europe since 1995.

V50
Volvo's premium small wagon that was first sold in the U.S. as the V40 for the 2000 model year,
although it had been on sale in Europe since 1995. The name was changed to V50 for the all-new
second generation that arrived in 2004 as a 2005 model, with Volvo’s Intelligent Vehicle Architecture
that integrates crashworthiness, design and driving characteristics.

V70
Volvo’s midsize wagon that evolved from the 850 Wagon when it was introduced for the 1998 model
year. The 850 wagon marked a change in direction for the company, from previous products that were
thought of as safe and sturdy but somewhat stodgy.  The V70 also offers all-wheel drive and the Cross
Country trim was added for 2001 as an SUV alternative. The Cross Country became a separate model
for 2002.

S60
Volvo’s midsize sedan.  S60 was added to the Volvo lineup for the 2001 model year to replace the S70,
built on a variant of the S80 platform. The S70 name was added in 1998 when Volvo’s best-selling
sedan, the 850 received a new interior.

XC70
Volvo’s rugged SUV-like wagon that is redesigned for 2008 with more aggressive styling to go with its
reputation as a capable off-road vehicle, while also adding a higher level of luxury. The Cross Country
was added as in 1997 as a version of the V70 wagon with a more SUV-like appearance, became a
separate model line in 2002 and the name was changed to XC70 for 2003.

C70
Volvo’s four-seat convertible coupe that returned to the lineup for 2006 with a new folding metal
hardtop. The C70 originally debuted for the 1998 model year as a fixed-top coupe and a soft-top
convertible, and began a new model-naming convention for Volvo: C denotes coupe, while 70
represents the car's relative position in the company's product line. The C70 coupe was dropped in
2003 and the C70 convertible continued for the 2004 model year before taking a hiatus in 2005.

XC90
Volvo’s premium midsize SUV that debuted at the 2002 Detroit Auto Show and went on sale in the fall
of 2002. The XC90 V8 was added during the middle of the 2005 model year, the most powerful Volvo
ever, powered by a 311-horsepower 4.4-liter Yamaha-built V8 engine with a 6-speed automatic
transmission and All-Wheel Drive with Instant Traction.

2009 MSRP Price Range: $37,000 - $50,800     Invoice Price Range: $34,780 - $47,244
S80
Offering a smooth V8 on AWD models and a six-cylinder on FWD ones. A turbocharged six-cylinder is
also available. The optional blind-spot monitoring system and active cruise control work well. The rear
seat is less spacious than the previous generation. Handling has been slightly improved, but the ride
remains a bit stiff.

XC60
An all-new model for 2009. A 281-hp turbocharged 3.0-liter inline 6-cyl. w/ 6-speed auto-transmission
and all-wheel drive. Standard equipment includes Dynamic Stability Traction Control, Hill Descent
Control, Automatic Climate Control, High-Performance Audio System with Sirius Satellite Radio and
HD radio, leather seats, alloy interior trim, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, Roll Stability
Control (RSC) rollover sensor, power adjustable front seats, 18-inch alloy wheels and power liftgate.
