The A8 is Audi’s flagship luxury sedan that debuted for the 1997 model year as the replacement for
the Audi V8 which had been discontinued in North America after the 1994 model year. The original A8
featured extensive use of aluminum, which was unusual at the time and gave the A8 a weight
advantage compared to some of its competitors. The extended-wheelbase A8 L was added for 2000
and the redesigned second-generation A8 debuted for the 2004 model year.

New for 2008
The 2008 Audi A8 receives subtle updates to the exterior styling and the interior including the single-
frame grille, new LED taillights and new exterior mirrors with integrated turn indicators. The steering

The RS 4 is the new high-performance sedan from Audi AG’s performance tuning division, quattro
GmbH. The RS 4 features new technology such as FSI direct injection technology developed for the
Le Mans-winning Audi R8 prototype race car and the latest generation of Audi’s legendary quattro all-
wheel-drive system with asymmetrical/dynamic torque distribution. While similar in appearance to
the S4 sedan, the only common body panels are the front doors and the roof. The RS 4 receives
flared wheel arches, flared side sills, a rear spoiler integrated into the trunk and rear fenders,
standard 19-inch 7-spoke alloy wheels, RS design bumpers, diamond-look grille trim and aluminum
trim for the grille surround and the side mirrors.

New for 2008
The 2008 Audi RS 4 is powered by a lightweight and high-revving 4.2-liter V8 with FSI direct injection
that produces 420 horsepower at 7800 rpm and 317 lb-ft of torque at 5500 rpm, with 90 percent of
peak torque available from 2250 to 7600 rpm. A 6-speed manual transmission is standard and the
quattro all-wheel-drive system uses a Torsen center differential to distribute 60 percent of torque to
the rear wheels and 40 percent to the front under normal conditions. Braking performance is
comparable to a race car with 14.4-inch two-piece front disc brakes fitted with 8-piston calipers. RS 4
features Audi’s Dynamic Ride Control suspension which is a mechanical system that reduces body
roll and pitch by interconnecting the suspension dampers diagonally through a central valve.
_______________________________________________________________________________
The Audi S6 is the high-performance version of Audi’s sporty midsize A6 sedan and features Audi’s
first use of a V10 engine in a production car with race-proven FSI gasoline direct injection. The S6
sedan was last offered in the U.S. in 1995, although the S6 Avant was available in the U.S. for the
2002 and 2003 model years. The 1995 S6 was powered by a 227-horsepower turbocharged five-
cylinder with a five-speed manual transmission and quattro all-wheel drive, while the 2002 S6 Avant
in wagon-form only was powered by a 340-horsepower 4.2-liter V8 engine with quattro and a five-
speed automatic with Tiptronic.

New for 2008
The 2008 Audi S6 continues unchanged.

The Q7 is Audi’s new large SUV that can accommodate up to seven passengers which Audi
describes as a performance SUV from the creator of quattro. The signature Audi single-frame grille
ties the Q7 to the rest of the Audi line, but is even more bold and prominent, standing nearly vertical
and dominating the front view of the vehicle. In profile the Q7 looks similar to the A3, with the window
graphic, the taper of the roofline to the rear, and the shape of the rear liftgate making the Q7 appear
much smaller than it is. The high side panels give the Q7 an aggressive stance, but the roofline,
finished with an integrated spoiler, adds a sporty flair. Built on the same basic platform as the 5-
passenger Volkswagen Touareg SUV, the Q7 is 13 inches longer to accommodate a third-row seat,
while the wheelbase gets stretched nearly 6 inches and the width increases by more than 2 inches.
Six percent of the body panels are aluminum, including the fenders, hood and tailgate, resulting in a
weight savings of nearly 50 pounds compared to conventional steel components.

New for 2008
After making its debut for the 2007 model year the 2008 Audi Q7 add more standard equipment and
revised its options programs. The 3.6 receives leather seating surfaces with power front seats, six-
disc in-dash CD changer and aluminum decorative inlays. On the 3.6 Premium, the Q7 receives a
power tailgate, third-row seating, Audi music interface, Bluetooth, Audi parking system advanced with
rearview camera and SIRIUS satellite radio. On the 4.2 Premium, the Q7 receives four-zone
automatic climate control, Audi navigation system with DVD, advanced key, 20-inch alloy wheels and
SIRIUS Satellite Radio. All 3.6 and 3.6 Premium models now come with 18-inch twin-spoke alloy
wheels and the 4.2 Premium come standard with 20-inch twin-spoke wheels.
_______________________________________________________________________________
The R8 is Audi’s all-new two-seat, mid-engine sports car that incorporates technology from Audi’s Le
Mans-winning R8 prototype to build on its racing success for the street. The production version of the
Audi R8 sports car made its debut at the Mondial de l’Automobile in Paris in the fall of 2006, with the
dramatic design remaining very true to the Le Mans quattro concept car first seen in 2003. The Audi
R8 sports car begins with the classic wide, low stance of a mid-engine exotic but the design is
dominated by a signature design element, the “Blade” of carbon fiber on each side, behind the door
and in front of the rear wheel—that runs from the roof at an angle over the side air intakes to the
rocker panel.

New for 2008

The 2008 Audi R8 is powered by a 420-horsepower 4.2-liter aluminum V8 with FSI direct fuel
injection and quattro all-wheel drive. The power is delivered through either a 6-speed manual or the
R tronic sequential manual gearbox that uses the same transmission and clutch but operates the
clutch and changes gears automatically.
