The Patriot is a compact SUV from Jeep that shares a platform with the Compass compact SUV but
offers more traditional Jeep styling and off-road capability. Based on the Jeep Patriot concept first
introduced at the 2005 International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt, the Patriot combines the packaging
and interior flexibility of an SUV with the performance, handling, fuel economy and price of a compact
car.
New for 2008
After making its debut for 2007, the 2008 Jeep Patriot adds more interior features and three new
colors to its lineup. All models receive standard air conditioning, chrome lock knobs, interior chrome
door handles, chrome accent rings on radio knobs and a standard tire-pressure monitor warning
light. The CVT2 is now equipped with Auto Stick and the engine and transaxle calibrations have been
refined for improved drivability and reduced powertrain noise. The Limited receives standard luxury
carpeted floor mats, standard automatic-dimming rearview mirror, universal garage door opener,
Electric Vehicle Information Center and a tire-pressure-monitoring system. The optional Special
Equipment Group “E” package available with the Sport features a number of standard features with
optional equipment from the Security and Convenience Group, Premium Sound Group and Trailer
Tow Prep Group.

The Compass is a compact SUV aimed towards consumers who spend more time in an urban
environment by combining the functionality of a sport-utility vehicle with the performance, handling,
fuel economy and price of a compact car. With traditional Jeep styling, the Compass features a Jeep
seven-slot grille, round headlights and trapezoidal wheel openings. The windshield is steeply raked
and the side profile shows the uniquely sculpted fender shapes with standard 17-inch aluminum
wheels or optional 18-inch wheels.
New for 2008
After debuting for the 2007 model year, the 2008 Jeep Compass add more interior features including
air conditioning, chrome lock knobs, interior chrome door handles, chrome accent ring on radio
knobs, new Dark Slate Gray interior, more coverage with SIRIUS Satellite Radio and tire-pressure
monitor warning light. The Continuously Variable Transaxle is now equipped with Auto Stick and the
engine and transaxle has been refined for drivability and less noise. A navigation system is available
on the Limited and three new exterior colors are added: Brilliant Black Pearl Coat, Surf Blue Pearl
Coat and Sunburst Orange Pearl Coat.

The icon of the Jeep brand, the Wrangler is Jeep’s traditional off-road vehicle which continues to offer
exceptional off-road capability, and is a modern interpretation of the original Jeep CJ. When the 1997
Wrangler was unveiled at the Detroit and L.A. auto shows in January 1996, it was obvious that the
new model had remained faithful to the distinctive styling of the original Jeep—a boxy, utilitarian
shape that has been Jeep's signature for over 50 years. Jeep purists were also pleased by the
Wrangler’s return to Jeep's traditional round headlights. The 2007 Jeep Wrangler made its debut at
the 2006 NAIAS in Detroit featuring an all-new frame, exterior and interior design and an upgraded

coil suspension, the Wrangler has new sound-deadening techniques to reduce cabin noise by more
than 20 percent. A four-door Wrangler Unlimited is available for the first time with seating for five
adults and cargo space behind the rear seat that’s almost three times the standard Wrangler’s.
New for 2007
The all-new 2007 Jeep Wrangler is bigger, more powerful and offers a four-door version for the first
time. Offered in two- and four-wheel drive and available in three trims: Wrangler X, Sahara and
Rubicon, the Wrangler is powered by a new 3.8-liter overhead valve V6 engine that produces 202
horsepower and 237 lb-ft of torque. The exterior is styled with classic round headlights, signature
seven-slot grille, trapezoid wheel flares, exposed forged hinges, a fold-down windshield, sports bar
and removable tops and doors. An all-new three-piece modular hardtop system features three panels
that are removable for open-air driving while a Sunrider soft-top that can be folded over the first- and
second-row occupants. The interior features a larger front-seat area, more shoulder room and hip
room, new instrument panel, center stack and high-back front bucket seats.

Liberty is Jeep’s compact sport utility, fitting into the Jeep lineup between the traditional Wrangler and
the flagship Grand Cherokee. The Liberty is the product of more than 60 years of Jeep experience and
was introduced in the spring of 2001 as a replacement for the Cherokee. For 2008 the Liberty
receives its first major redesign and is all new from the ground up.
New for 2008
The 2008 Jeep Liberty is all new from the ground up with a more rugged, classic Jeep look. Offered in
Sport and Limited, the Liberty’s ride and handling have been improved with the new independent front
suspension, five-link rear suspension and rack-and-pinion steering system. Two four-wheel drive
systems are available: Command-Trac and Selec-Trac II. Cargo length has been increased and there’
s more space for front and rear passengers. A number of features have been added including the
world debut of the Sky Slider full-length open canvas roof, remote start, rain-sensing wipers, memory
seats, mirrors and radio controls and express up/down windows.

The Jeep Commander is a full-size SUV and is the first Jeep with 7-passenger seating. Wrapped in
an exterior package that looks remarkably like the original Jeep Cherokee, the Commander is two
inches longer than the Grand Cherokee but shares the same wheelbase. Characterized by an upright
windshield, vertical back glass and straight sides, the Commander’s shape is very square and is
capped off with the signature Jeep seven-slot grille. Inside, the Commander offers stadium seating, a
stepped roof for adequate headroom and Command-View skylights for additional interior lighting.
Also a two-tone instrument panel with four round gauges is unique to the Commander. For 2007
Jeep changes the base Commander name to Commander Sport and adds the Overland version to
the lineup.
New for 2008

package options. New equipment include a tilt and telescoping steering column with integrated
Electronic Vehicle Information Center controls on steering wheel, 115V power inverter, MP3 interface,

screen with rear video entertainment system. A two-row, five-passenger seating option is standard on
the Sport R package. A number of new safety features include Hill Descent Control System, Hill Start
Assist, ParkView Rear Backup Camera and a Trailer Say Control System.

The Grand Cherokee is Jeep’s premium midsize SUV and the flagship of the Jeep brand, aimed at

on Laredo. New safety equipment includes standard side-curtain airbags, active turn signals that
feature “3-Blink Lane Change,” optional ParkSense Rear Back-up System on Laredo and ParkView
Rear Backup Camera is standard on SRT8 and optional on Laredo and Limited.
