The MINI Cooper is a small two-door, four-passenger car produced by BMW as a modern version of
the original Mini, offered in both coupe and convertible versions. Making its debut at the NAIAS 2007,
the second-generation 2007 MINI Cooper was shown in Detroit alongside the MINI Convertible
Sidewalk, a special edition of the popular MINI Convertible. The 2007 MINI Cooper has been
completely redesigned from the ground up with a slightly longer body but retains its trademark
character and style. The exterior is highlighted by a new hexagon radiator grille, direction indicator
lights are fully integrated in the headlights and chrome is extensively used. Available in Cooper and
Cooper S, the Cooper S has a sportier suspension set-up and its engine compartment lid curves up
an additional approximately 0.8 inches to accommodate the turbocharged engine. The MINI Cooper
comes in a fully automatic convertible roof with a power sunroof integrated into the top and it opens
and closes in just over 15 seconds.
New for 2007
The all-new 2007 MINI Cooper and MINI Cooper Convertible receive a total makeover and is updated
with more power, a more muscular look and new features. Under the hood of the Cooper is a 1.6-liter
4 cylinder that delivers 118 horsepower and 114 lb-ft of torque while the Cooper S has a brand-new
172-horsepower turbocharged 1.6-liter engine that produces 177 lb-ft of torque. A special Overboost
function in the Cooper S can increase torque to 192 lb-ft for a short time. Both engines are paired to a
standard six-speed manual transmission with an optional six-speed automatic. Inside, a new
start/stop button ignition replaces the conventional, new ambient illumination and a larger center
speedometer has been enhanced for a new range of functions including the display of controls for the
navigation entertainment system. The Cooper comes standard with 15-inch wheels while the Cooper
S is equipped with 16-inchers. The Cooper Convertible is available with a new MINI Convertible
Sidewalk package that has special features to give the Cooper an exclusive look inside and out.

2008 MINI Cooper Clubman, offered in a standard and S package. The Clubman comes with a Club
door on the passenger side and two rear Barn doors. The Clubman comes standard with the Cooper
S Engine and 6-speed transmission package. Inside the Clubman you will get 9.2 cubic ft of cargo
space with the rear seats up.
